A little known Monday night happening, sponsored by the Chicago Architecture Foundation, takes participants on a “Happy Hour Tour” of Chicago’s Art Deco scene followed by a complimentary cocktail. Discover the intricacies of the Art Deco style, born in the Roaring 20s. The tour will showcase the soaring exteriors and opulent interiors of some of downtown Chicago’s most famous Art Deco landmark buildings including the Chicago Board of Trade, One LaSalle Street Building and others. Following the tour participants will proceed to Bacino’s at 75 E. Wacker for drinks and food. (First drink included in tour price). 5:30p.m. $16 adults, $13 seniors/students. 312 922 3432.

World-renown Opera Mezzo-Soprano Frederica von Stade, “Flicka” will present her final Chicago concert, before retirement, tonight at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance. Ms. von Stade, who will turn 65 on June 1, will be accompanied by Jake Heggie.
