One resolution I have made, and try always to keep, is this: To rise above the little things. ~ John Burroughs
- Lately I’ve been saying “relax” out loud to myself – then I relax my shoulders and my jaw. Plan to keep doing this.
- Be patient, slow down. Where do I think I’m “going” anyway? It may seem counterintuitive, but I agree with this Chinese Proverb – If you are in a hurry, you will never get there.
- Sing in my car to loud music (I already do this, and my much to my children’s disappointment, I plan to continue).
- Release/question thoughts that hurt me or judge others. They aren’t “truth” – they are thoughts.
- Good stuff happening everywhere – see it, talk about it, and be OK with “rose-colored glasses” comments.
- Listen – breathe before responding.
- Get off the computer earlier.
- Let intuition take the lead – The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. ~Albert Einstein
- Hold hands with husband and children.
- Now, here, be, love, faith, gratitude, smile, repeat.
