A judge just ordered the suspension of a $18.8 million dollar rehabilitation project of the Gloria Marina where the Olympic Sailing Games are to be held. It would lead to cutting down too many trees damaging the environment.
The “Green” sport of sailing continues to get a black eye from the decision to sail in Guanabara Bay.
Who knew that the marina wasn’t even ready to host the Games? What a great opportunity to move the event to Buzios and spend the money there instead.
