Just to make sure that the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) cannot hide and pretend that they are not aware of these articles, I sent a 2nd email to the leadership of the country members of ISAF –

Dear Fellow Sailors:
As the 500 Day mark just passed for the Opening Ceremonies of the 2016 Olympic Games, we still know that Sailing is unprepared to provide a fair competition. Pressing to give Guanabara Bay “another chance” in August 2015 is just wasting everyone’s time. A “chance” is gambling and there is no more time for gambling.
Move Sailing out of Rio and to a new venue like Buzios, Brazil, it is not too late for you to speak up.
Since I last wrote all of the heads of the MNA’s worldwide, I have written the following articles if you are still unsure what you need to do. I urge you to read the first three (bolded) at a minimum. It sums up completely why this charade must end:
The 2016 Sailing Olympics is Now Roulette, a Game of Chance

International Sailing Federation’s Publicized Solution 4/24/2015 Continues the Guanabara Bay FAIL. http://www.chicagonow.com/sail-lake-michigan/2015/04/international-sailing-federations-publicized-solution-4242015-continues-the-guanabara-bay-fail/
Member National Authorities, Do You Hear Me Now?…On Guanabara Bay?
http://www.chicagonow.com/sail-lake-michigan/2015/04/member-national-authorities-do-you-hear-me-now-on-guanabara-bay/
Please voice your opinions and make the call that both inside and outside of Guanabara Bay is no longer an acceptable venue. It is Rio’s fault for not cleaning it, as promised, 8 years ago. But it is becoming your fault for not moving it.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Glenn T. McCarthy
