Simply, the USofA fell behind in the “first to win 9 races” with a score of 8 wins by New Zealand to the USofA 1 win.
Suddenly the USofA got the boat out of neutral and shifted into high gear. As of today, they now have tied it up 8 wins to 8 wins. Tomorrow whoever wins, takes the America’s Cup 34. I don’t like cliche’s, but this is the biggest comeback in sailing history, and possible in all of sports history, if the USofA wins.
Will the mice turn into horses? Will the pumpkin turn into a chariot? Will USofA win? Come on Cinderella!
Many sailors around the world are trembling, shouting at their TVs and excited at this development. No doubt, the pressure will be beyond that of any gauge can read.
