Happy New Year! I've moved my writing to Medium.com.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Thank you for reading and following my writing all these years on ChicagoNow.
It’s been an honor to build such a loyal following, one that I never expected to have.

After months of handwringing, I’ve decided to move my writing energy to Medium.com. Please consider checking it out and letting me know what you think.

While it may seem like I’m breaking up with ChicagoNow, that’s hardly the case.

I’d LOVE to keep blogging here. It’s the place where I found colleagues and friends and inspiration almost every day.

Frankly, I really don’t want to blog anywhere else. I created Riding The Waves from the ground up, and it sustained me as a new writer finding my way.

I am proud of all I’ve done here (yes, even the crappiest of my writing!) because it shows me (as well as other aspiring writers) how important it is to keep working on this craft.

Unfortunately, the ChicagoNow platform, in recent months, has changed dramatically, and too many of my readers have complained. Too many intrusive ads, too difficult to subscribe, etc. If only I could wave a magic wand and make these challenges disappear…

Instead, I can only express my gratitude for ChicagoNow and to keep hoping things change for the better. I’m confident they will. And then, who knows?

Until then, I have an opportunity to earn money for my writing at Medium.com, which is something I would really like to explore.

I hope you’ll take a minute to visit me at Medium.com and consider following my writing there. I also hope you continue to follow your favorite writers at ChicagoNow. I know I will.

Wishing you ALL the best in 2019.

As always, I thank you for being a part of my writing journey.

    Christine Wolf

I tend to cover life's ups and downs. I don't shy away from the tougher, more emotional stories. While I'm always willing to voice an opinion, it sometimes contradicts my innate desire to please everyone at all times. Such is this crazy life, I suppose. Ultimately, I search for meaning in the human experience, and openly share how I (try to) keep my head above water. Thanks so much for dropping by. I really appreciate hearing your thoughts.
