Blackhawks waive Nick Boynton

The Chicago Blackhawks have placed defenseman Nick Boynton on waivers.  This likely indicates the Hawks are close to making a deal, likely for a defenseman.  Once Boynton clears, he will likely be sent down to Rockford, eliminating his $500,000 salary from the cap.   It’s no secret the Hawks have been seeking a penalty killing defenseman. ... NHL All Star Game format not quite perfect, yet

Even at their worst, Hawks too much for Flyers

Hawks OT win hides bigger problems

Late collapses becoming a trend for tired Hawks defense
