Predictions for the 2013 NHL season
With less than 24 hours remaining in our hockey-less lives…I thought I’d share my predictions for the upcoming season. Western Conference Playoff Teams 1. After today’s practice, Blackhawk’s Head Coach Joel Quenneville told the media that Patrick Kane will miss three weeks with a lower body injury, and that he “hope(s) that’s the max.” Kane injured his left leg hitting the boards awkwardly after a hit from Flame’s defenseman Corey Sarich. image courtesy of TSN.ca The Hawks will have... Tough offseason could finally be over for Hawk fans
Monday, the Blackhawks officially announced the one year re-signing of defenseman Nick Boynton, likely putting an end to the roller coaster ride that was the 2010 offseason. Adam Burish signs with Dallas Stars
Hawks winger and fan favorite Adam Burish has signed with the Dallas Stars. The Hawks failed to tender him an offer, and he was signed as an unrestricted free agent. Burish had 4 points in 18 regular season games last season for the Hawks, and was held scoreless in 15 playoff games.

While Joel Quenneville hasn’t confirmed these lines, look for some significant changes in the Hawks lineup Thursday night in Nashville. Burish provides immediate impact for Blackhawks
Adam Burish had not played a shift all season until last night. It took him all of eight seconds to make his presence felt. Burish stepped on the ice for his first shift, headed to the net (naturally), and put a puck in front for Patrick Sharp, who buried it, giving the Hawks a 1-0... Read more »

Something is missing with these Blackhawks
Call it nit picking, but I think there’s an element the Blackhawks had last year that they are lacking this season. It’s not scoring, it’s not leadership, but it’s that certain spark. The Hawks have looked asleep at the wheel a few times this season. Fortunately, they have the talent to overcome a lackluster period... Read more »
