Real Estate in Chicago (and The Joffrey Ballet) Carry On!

Even in these challenging times the Real Estate Industry is going strong. I recently took on a project for a special home at 1940 N. Mohawk Street in Lincoln Park.  This is a spacious 7,500 square foot mansion with 5 Bedrooms, 5.3 Baths, four fireplaces, and multi-level roof decks!  I can’t wait to show this home to buyers and brokers.  Above are two exterior photos and the Master Bedroom with its three walk-in closets.  The quality of materials and interior layout will instantly appeal to the Chicago market!

Another recent listing is in the exclusive Gold Coast gated community known as Sutton Place.  This lovely home at 1338 Sutton Place has three spacious levels with a large patio, in-home garage, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, and as shown above a full floor Primary Bedroom with a large, sunny balcony.  The location is perfect, close to Old Town, Lincoln Park, the Lake, and Michigan Avenue!

My husband Lucien Lagrange celebrated a milestone Birthday recently, and lovely Birthday wishes came in from many of his colleagues and fellow luminaries in the Chicago architectural community as well as from old friends and family members.  He continues to innovate and take on significant projects both in Chicago and around the country.  Shown above is Lucien and his beautifully designed new project at 40 West Oak.

Life is strange, the pandemic takes much away from us, but we adjust and make the most of it!  The Joffrey Ballet has had to cancel the rest of their season, which means there will be not be any live performances of the Nutcracker ballet this holiday season.  A glimpse of the pageantry of their lovely past performances is shown above.

So in response, on November 7, the Women’s Board and the Joffery are offering a special Virtual fundraising event called “Pulling Back the Curtain: The Nutcracker”.  I am honored to serve as one of the Co-Chairs for the event, which will benefit the Joffrey’s Crisis Stabilization Fund.  We are offering a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to put on the Nutcracker, interviews with Joffrey Company Artists and the Joffrey’s Artistic Team, and numerous other surprises!

If you buy a ticket, you and your family and friends can gather together at home and watch a special streaming broadcast of this special event!  Also, those who buy tickets will receive a recording in case you can’t gather together to watch it on the November 7th date.  Also, we are offering creative and special ways to take part – shown above are a couple of options available to make it even more special.  Click on the Red link below to go to the website where you can look at all the options.  Thank you for taking a look!
