With over Twenty prominent buildings in the striking skyline of Chicago to his name, Lucien Lagrange can truly be called “Chicago’s Architect”! Even after 40+ years in Chicago he is still going strong, with two new large projects approved and about to be built. And recently he gathered several of his renowned colleagues from the past to come work with him at his new Firm, called the Lucien Lagrange Studio. (lucienlagrange.com)
His buildings are again receiving praise for their popularity – for the third year in a row several of his buildings are in Curbed Chicago’s list of the Top Ten Residential Buildings in Chicago, (curbed.chicago.com), holding positions #1, #5, and #8 for the most expensive home sales during 2016. It has been my honor to have listed homes in those buildings as well!
With his “Dream Team” of experienced designers he is poised to propose and bid on new projects as Chicago continues to defy the odds and attract large companies to move in to the City. Just look at a couple of recent additions to our skyline as proof of the vibrancy of the market – on the left is Hines’ new development called River Point, with beautiful river views, and on the right is the massive Perkins+Will development in the South Loop called Riverline.
Well after all these years my alma mater Northwestern Wildcats have finally made it into March Madness! They were 23-11 this year and spent several weeks in the country’s Top 25. They’ll be the No. 8 seed in the West region and play Vanderbilt for their first NCAA tournament game ever. Go Wildcats!
