Last fall, after living in the city for two years (back after a stint in the burbs), my husband and I pledged to start to expose our sons to the world. We put together our list of “must visit” Chicago neighborhoods, booked a family trip abroad (the first time we’ve done international travel since our kids were born!), and enrolled our boys at a French language school. And, most importantly, we really began to put shape to the idea of the type of children we ultimately want to raise in this world – people who have an appreciation for the people and cultures of the world and strive to make a difference on a global scale.
This blog will chronicle our efforts to uncover the treasures within the city’s neighborhoods, sample delicacies from around the world, meet people from across the globe who call Chicago home, and expose our children to the world.
