Homeless cats and dogs have one special Christmas wish – a home for the holidays. Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) and the Animal Care League (ACL) are joining forces Saturday to help that wish come true with the Home for the Holidays adoption event at the ACL’s Adoption Center at 1011 Garfield St. in Oak Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
CACC partners The Anti-Cruelty Society provided spay/neuter services for the cats and Friends of CACC assistated with the spay/neuter services for the dogs.
“We are excited about this collaboration across multiple organizations to help more animals find homes this holiday season,” CACC Executive Director Susan Russell said.
Many animals will have waived or reduced adoption fees at the event, which includes spay/neuter, immunizations, heartworm test for dogs, virus tests for cats and microchips.
