Rescue Waggin: Tales from the Road gives a peek at life saving transport
Actor/Producer Josh Duhamel has teamed up with PetSmart Charities for Rescue Waggin: Tails from the Road.

Every week, transports hit the road moving dogs and cats from one area of the country to another hoping to give them a happy ending. In some cases, dogs may be rescued from puppy mills or hoarding situations. In other cases, they may be on the move from areas in the country where pet abandonment rates are high and adoption rates are low and headed to an area that is looking for more dogs or cats for adoption. Now you can get a sneak peak at one program – PetSmart Charities Rescue Waggin’ Program – thanks to a new Web series that debuted this month.

Rescue Waggin: Tales from the Road takes us from Carthage, Missouri and to Minnesota as it follows the stories of several dogs found as strays or left at the shelter as they get ready for their transport and to find a new family. Four a couple of years now, PetSmart Charities has teamed up with actor Josh Duhamel to get out the word about their adoption programs. His production company Dakotakid Media has teamed up with PetSmart for this web series.

Here’s the first episode –

Each year, over 4 million pets in America are euthanized because they don’t have a family. Since it’s founding 20 years ago, PetSmartCharities has helped find homes for over 5.5 million cats and dogs through adoption events at PetSmart Stores and in store adoption centers. The Rescue Waggin transports are another way the organization is pitching in to help more pets get a second chance.
