Animal advocates vie for grand prize in Spring Into Action

There’s still time to honor an everyday rescue hero through the Spring Into Action campaign from Spring Naturals. Since last year, the Spring Naturals has accepted nominations each month from the animal welfare community for a Spring Into Action Hero. For the rest of the month, fans of the companies Facebook page could vote daily for a hero.

In the past year, an amazing eight animal advocate finalists came from the Chicagoland area. For the past month, those eight candidates and four other national candidates have been in the running for the grand prize. There are still nine more days to vote (you can vote once per day) before the contest wraps up. Just head to the contest Facebook page to vote.

The 12 “Spring Into Action” finalists are eligible for a chance to win $2,000 worth of Spring Naturals dog dinners plus a $500 cash donation on behalf of their previously selected local rescue organization. The Grand Prize Winner and their shelter will be announced on June 4, 2013.

    Raining Cats and Dogs

I am a crazy cat lady and puppy mill warrior that blogs to advocate and educate about pet issues. In American animal controls, millions of pets are abandoned each year and an estimated 4 million die just because there are not enough homes. It truly seems like it’s Raining Cats and Dogs.
