A fellow blogger and friend of mine published a creative post on Favorite hashtags for parents. Of course I am stealing being inspired by her idea! I think Quilters need more hashtags and I am about to supply them.
First let’s reminisce a bit about the symbol for hashtag, #. I remember when it meant “number” as in #5 is correct. I also remember when it was the “pound” sign on a phone as in press # when you are done.
Obviously this is a hard working symbol and enables users to track subjects on twitter. When they all share the same word after the #, that word is trending. But it can also be a phrase.
I have to admit, I haven’t seen any #quilt phrases trending. But that’s OKAY, quilts are beyond trends!
But first let’s see what fun Quilt hashtags are out there, shall we? I did a search for #quilt and #quilting to see what would pop up.
Already out there
Let’s see if I can’t come up with some that are a bit goofier!
24. #that’s all folks
