I am nursing a cold, not a bad one, just enough to make me stick to a chair. Yes, I do stick to a chair a lot anyway, you’re right! At any rate, while lounging around I started imagining more quilt songs for the Christmas season. My husband plays carols quite a lot so it just happens naturally. Now I am going to share with you the fruit of my musings!
Quilters Sew to the tune of Jingle Bells
Quilters sew! Quilters sew!
Quilting all the way
Oh what fun it is to sew
With friends throughout the day
With friends and not for pay
O’er the seams we go
Laughing all the way
Our machines don’t bing
Making work so light
What fun it is to sew and bring
Our efforts home tonight!
Here’s the real song!
Quilt Retreat (Sung to White Christmas)
I’m dreaming of a quilt retreat
Just like the one where I would sew
Where the needles glisten
and Quilters listen
And see stitching like a pro
I’m dreaming of a quilt retreat
With every stitch I take tonight
May your studio be merry and bright
and may all your sewing be just right
Here’s the original, really vintage version
That was fun, now I am going to nap a bit and have more tea with honey.
Sew happy!
