Modern Crazy Quilt style bib with African Fabrics

I get a kick out of the challenges from my guild but I was hesitant at first about trying them. . I forced the issue two years ago by making a New Year’s Resolution to do more challenges. Amazingly enough, that did the trick. But sometimes I do a mini “taste” version of the challenge. Hey, it works for me!

I didn’t want to make a whole crazy quilt, I just wanted to play with the technique. I decided to create a modern crazy quilt style bib with African fabrics. I used these fabrics in Zara’s quilt and Henry’s.

It was quite a bit of work for a bib but at least it is something I wanted to make. I loved the technique. Next I would like to try a purse or small bag.

Follow along and see how to interpret crazy quilts with a modern feel.

Sew happy!
