On Milkweed: A Layman's Take (with apologies to Margaret Serious)

Asclepias is the genus of milkweed

Of which the best-known is the Common.

The Butterfly Weed is a member, indeed.

And that’s all I got on this, Amen!

  • I love the poetry, AW! Great pictures, too. Bravo!

  • Apology gratefully accepted! Thank you for a poetic lesson. Now I'll be able to observe them instead of merely seeing them, as our friend Sir Arthur would say.

  • Of milkweeds I can offer more
But of rhymes I'm very poor.

  • In reply to jnorto:

    Jnorto, a poem is contagious,
and I do not think yours is outrageous!

  • In reply to Margaret H. Laing:

    Thank you!
