What I need now is a good fortune-teller. Palms up!

Who knows who will win this election?

It would take Sherlock Holmes’s detection.

Who can trust any polls?

Will they hack voter rolls?

Will the outcome be joy or dejection?

  • A yoga instructor had something similar with the foot, but apparently reflexology rather than solestry.

The "Hillary has a 96% chance of winning" turned out to wash numerous hogs, but I don't think the result will be as much in doubt this time.

  • In reply to jack:

Numerous hogs, eh? I love the freshness of that, anyway!

  • Yahoo! Finance streaming channel had an equally reliable Swami from the English betting market saying that the odds were 66% 33% Biden, but more people were putting money on Trump, but the Biden betters were putting up twice the money. Other than Chicago elections in the 60s, I don't think it works that way.

His other observation was that while the market will be taking bets until just before each state's polls close, the number of mail and early ballots means that the election may have already been decided.

  • Part of me just wants a solid, believable outcome, but I argue with that part of me -- there's one result the country needs and one it's hard to think we can take.
