Joe Biden will incorporate what the Preamble envisioned

Trump’s lack of leadership’s taken its toll.

A more perfect Union’s no longer our goal.

At this he has failed.

Our country derailed.

It’s time to defeat him and win back our soul.

  • A couple of things I don't think Biden means:
    1. He'll be the President for all of us. I don't think that includes the Proud Boys, Bugaloo Bois, and other members of the opponent's base.
    2. That wearing a mask is not political. It is if it has MAGA on it. I suppose also if it has BLM.

  • He never has why do you think he will now?

Are you a trumpecker with one week to go?

  • That's wishfull thinking.

  • In reply to NKPDISPR:

    So, the answer is yes.

  • A "more perfect union" could never be the Trump goal. First, it suggests that the union is not already perfect. Under Donald of Orange, surely we have reached the pinnacle of perfection.

But even if we think something more could be done, "more perfect" suggests relative improvement. Under his rhetoric, only absolute terms are acceptable. His goal must be "a most perfect" union.

But, come to think of it, do we want to use the term "union"? It suggests something he has fought against all of his life. What about saying "In order to form a most perfect regime"?

That's close to something I noted about 3 years ago, i.e. how could he expect unity when he wasn't willing to talk to the other side, which, in fact was the majority? The answer, of course, came to me when someone posted on Chicago Now that he was not a fascist, but included in the post 14 characteristics of a fascist proving that he was.

  • In reply to jack:

Let's be fair. Trump has promoted unity--with Russia, Hungary, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, etc.

  • In reply to jnorto:

It's been reported that Putin says he has nothing on Hunter Biden.

I also doubt N. Korea, as Kim rolled out a large intercontinental missile to compensate for his small thing AW mentioned in his prior post.

  • Domestic tranquility? Yes, please. It will take a while, though -- even if there is a fast decision in the election, all of this damage will take some time to undo.
