While he courts the black vote, Trump should confess to this crime

Trump Addresses Empty Church As African-American Photo-Op Backfires In Detroit

“When a black woman asked to rent an apartment in a Brooklyn complex managed by Donald Trump’s real estate company, she said she was told that nothing was available. A short time later, a white woman who made the same request was invited to choose between two available apartments.

The two would-be renters on that July 1972 day were actually undercover ‘testers”’for a government-sanctioned investigation to determine whether Trump Management Inc. discriminated against minorities seeking housing at properties across Brooklyn and Queens.

Federal investigators also gathered evidence. Trump employees had secretly marked the applications of minorities with codes, such as ‘No. 9’ and ‘C’ or ‘colored,’ according to government interview accounts filed in federal court. The employees allegedly directed blacks and Puerto Ricans away from buildings with mostly white tenants, and steered them toward properties that had many minorities, the government filings alleged.”  [Michael Kranish and Robert O’Harrow Jr. in the Washington Post]

After spending his life leaving blacks in a lurch

Trump, needing their votes, is seen at a black church.

Perhaps he was there to begin reparation

For the shameful commission of discrimination.

  • Yawn. This was all debunked in the last post.

Besides, Hillary already proved that 'C' doesn't stand for colored or confidential, it's merely a way to classify a sequence.

  • In reply to 4zen:

If the authors are misrepresenting the truth, I'm sure Mr. Trump would sue them. His usual M.O.

  • In reply to Aquinas wired:

As typified by that even though all sources, including The Daily Mail, withdrew the Melania story, but she is still suing for $150 million. Usually retraction on demand is a complete defense, and she has Terry Bollea's lawyer, Charles Harder, who said, after the $140 million verdict "If Gawker had simply removed the video, as Bollea's lawyers requested, litigation would not have ensued." Apparently, a double standard exists, when the Trumps are involved. Don't be surprised if there is a "confidential settlement" in a couple of years. Trump is not going to admit that the suit is dismissed, when that happens.

  • In reply to 4zen:

In fact you did not "DEBUNK" it in the last post. You said "I did, it was settled with no admittance of guilt or wrong doing. " That's how everything is settled, and is Trump's modus operandi, such as with the illegal Polish immigrant labor in 1999. Trump more recently settled with Univision and NBC. ThinkProgress found 13 settled employment lawsuits. If you can (and I doubt it, since Breitbart won't), Google Trump settled lawsuit.

  • He had Omarosa cover his orange adze (just like he used Ivanka), so the optics are good for about another 24 hours, when he decides to go orange adze again. Cuddling up to the African-American vote will hurt him with his base.

Since this did not turn out like UIC, and there were reports that protesters were not let anywhere near the church, I wonder who vetted the congregation.

  • 'Shame on them', it appears the liberal media is leaving a lot of out of their fascist news cycle. It's scary to contemplate how often this happens. This sabotage is by one of the most prominent news services in the world, one that was feeding all the other outlets. And if you don't like the messenger feel free to google the story.

    What would it take?

  • In reply to 4zen:

As if Trump hasn't gotten tons of free coverage. Cmon, 4zen. Wake up.

  • In reply to 4zen:

Again, Googling this shows another right wing lone wolf who pats himself on the back as being " #1 Internet News Show in the World." If he, and not Reuters, is #1, what difference does it make what Reuters does?

Nobody is buying this shlock. In the meantime, you didn't look up Trump settled lawsuit. Nor will you before again unsuccessfully trying to send click count to the alt-Right web. Still you won't come clean why you do it and who is paying you to do so.

  • In reply to jack:

    Are you denying this happened?

  • In reply to 4zen:

I'm not accepting the source, and the burden of proof is never to deny (as you point out Trump never denies), but to establish the affirmative.

And I'm not going to click on any of your links that a hover-over shows is a right wing source, until you answer my questions of 40 minutes ago, and don't give me flack that it wasn't in the form of a question. If that's your objection:
    >Why are you posting links to right wing sources?
    >Whether, and if so, who is paying you to do so?

  • In reply to jack:

Jack, I'd like to know the answers to those questions too. He seems stuck in the alt-Right bubble and just parrots what he reads.

  • >What's wrong with right-wing sources as opposed to left-wing sources? Shouldn't one be weighed against the other? And don't tell me that the MSM isn't left-wing.

  • In reply to 4zen:

Because there is some journalism behind some sources like The Washington Post, or as you acknowledged in the next post CNN, and, in any event, if one doesn't believe in what they say, a quick search will find numerous other sources to verify or debunk their stories. Like I indicated, there are numerous sources on "trump settled lawsuit." Even when the talking heads talk b.s., there are primary sources on the Internet, such as court opinions. I don't need some legal talking head on Channel 9 to tell me on what basis the Illinois Supreme Court ruled something unconstitutional.

On the other hand, the sources you cited have mental issues such as touting "#1 Internet News Show in the World," obvious biases, and in your hero Bannon's case, using a website to get a job for one campaign (not much different, in my mind, than some blogger for a RTA tax increase getting a job at the CTA). They lose credibility when they push the birther garbage, that the U.S. does not deport illegal immigrants, or the economy has gone to hell (when the stock indices are near all time highs).
