Trump befriends the Underworld

“On the 24th floor of Trump Tower, in an office two floors below Donald Trump, Felix Sater was trying to revive his career. The Russian-born businessman had already done a stint in prison for stabbing a man in the face with the stem of a margarita glass, and he was now awaiting sentencing for his role in a Mafia-orchestrated stock fraud scheme — all the while serving as a government informant on the mob and mysterious matters of national security.

But Sater and his business partners had an idea: They would build Trump towers in U.S. cities and across the former Soviet bloc. Sater pitched it to Trump, who gave Sater’s company rights to explore projects in Moscow as well as in Florida and New York.

‘Anybody can come in and build a tower,’ Sater told potential investors, according to testimony in a 2008 court case. “’I can build a Trump Tower, because of my relationship with Trump.’

Sater’s ‘Trump card,’ as he called it, didn’t work everywhere. The Moscow deal fell apart. But their relationship continued — though just how close they were is now in dispute.  []

Though Trump’s seeking the nation’s top job,

Quite frequently he did hobnob

At his Tower or casino

With friends of Gambino

And known operatives of the mob.

REAL BREAKING NEWS: The first Google entry under The Gateway Pundit other than to itself is "The Gatewood Pundit is a hard-right website that spends most of the day complaining about Barack Obama and liberals."
Dumb 4zen didn't think we would figure that out.

  • Hold it! Doesn't it bother you at all that Trump played footsie with the Syndicate and its unsavory ilk?

  • In reply to Aquinas wired:

Honestly yes, it perturbs me they were at his wedding.

BTW AW, I didn't see your source was from the WaPo till after I originally posted, that was for our special needs friend.

  • In reply to 4zen:

"No other candidate for the White House this year has anything close to Trump’s record of repeated social and business dealings with mobsters, swindlers, and other crooks. Professor Douglas Brinkley, a presidential historian, said the closest historical example would be President Warren G. Harding and Teapot Dome, a bribery and bid-rigging scandal in which the interior secretary went to prison. But even that has a key difference: Harding’s associates were corrupt but otherwise legitimate businessmen, not mobsters and drug dealers."

The Sun-Times also points out that he hangs out with Ed Burke, to get his assessment lowered. Seems like the real estate genius has some unmarketable commercial space on the Chicago Riverwalk. Supposedly did the same with Christy Christie in NJ.

  • In reply to 4zen:

And it was noted that The Trump Foundation Gave the Clinton Foundation $100,000, and some have said to get the Clintons to attend said wedding.
Dumb 4zen falls into another of his traps. Otherwise, he has to explain what the quid pro quo was.

  • In reply to 4zen:

In fact, unless Duimb Donald* was misquoted, he admitted it (from that article):

"When they call, I give. And you know what? When I need something from them two years later, three years later, I call them, they are there for me," Trump said. "With Hillary Clinton, I said be at my wedding, and she came to my wedding. You know why? She didn’t have a choice, because I gave. I gave to a foundation that, frankly, that foundation is supposed to do good. I didn’t know her money would be used on private jets going all over the world."

    *Apologies to the Cosby Kid.

  • The real syndicate feigns legit, and hides in the open.

  • In reply to 4zen:

Joshua Green has a history of anti=Hillary writings. I don;t think he looks at the presidential race with any objectivity.

  • And to think, Donald Trump is claiming that Hillary Clinton's aide, Huma Abedin's marriage to Anthony Wiener created a national security threat and that Hillary Clinton is to blame for it. But, of course, the syndicate is a lesser threat than a sexting Wiener!

  • In reply to jnorto:

Considering that Trump thinks retweeting anything is o.k., and he has had his Anthony Wiener in women other than his wife, I don't think he has any standing to be criticizing others about sex and electronic security.

However, I'm surprised that 4zen hasn't brought up that there is incontrovertible evidence that Hillary had sex at least once with Bill. Maybe Breitbart couldn't figure it out.

  • Hey look, the short bus finally got here. Hope you got your helmet on Jack!

  • In reply to 4zen:

According to Urban Dictionary ". noun. (derogetory) school bus shorter in length than a conventional school bus commonly used to transport students with physical or mental handicaps."

In short, either Stupid 4zen is projecting again, or is reduced to gibberish. I'll vote for gibberish, but what the hey, if he wants to insult those protected by the ADA, it just adds another facet to his well documented history of bigotry.

In the meantime, Stupid 4zen engages in this drivel instead of explaining why the The Means gave to the Clinton Foundation. Maybe because The Means explained it already, but 4zen, riding to special education, couldn't comprehend it.

You can't win this game, Stupid 4zen, who STILL has not driven any click count to the right wing blogs.

  • More of Hillary's lies uncovered. Benghazi, perjury, this is getting good. Drip, drip, drip.....

  • In reply to 4zen:

Dumb 4zen is getting better at his links, but is still being dishonest. Headline is Trump hammers Clinton for FBI's discovery of 30 Benghazi emails.

    In short. lying, redadze Trump.
