Welcome to ChicagoNow.
I'm Jerry Partacz, happily married to my wife Julie for over 40 years. I have four children and eleven grandchildren. I'm enjoying retirement after 38 years of teaching. I now have an opportunity to share my thoughts on many things. I'm an incurable optimist. I also love to solve crossword puzzles and to write light verse. I love to read, to garden, to play the piano, to collect stamps and coins, and to watch "Curb Your Enthusiasm".

There has to be something else on, or I'll be like Your Doubting Thomas and listen to The SCORE.
An interesting development mentioned on WGN Radio today was that a number of OF's Illinois delegates will not be attending, not so much as a matter of principle, but because some tightwad reneged on paying the hotel bill. Maybe the convention can be cancelled for lack of a quorum or lack of enough delegates for a first ballot victory? Similar WBEZ story, but saying that the delegates have some counterintuitive reasons.
