Trump and Fox News BFF again?

“Did Fox News apologize to Donald Trump right before Thursday night’s GOP debate? Or did the television network simply let him vent?

The two sides can’t seem to agree on what happened. Trump told CNN that an unnamed Fox executive “apologized” to him for a mocking statement the network issued two days before the debate.

Trump said Fox “could not have been nicer” as it tried to woo him back into attending the debate. But he stuck to his plan of holding a competing event aimed at raising funds for veterans’ organizations”  [CNNPolitics.com]].

Trump said he’s made up with Fox News

Which could be the truth or a ruse.

It’s not I’m a skeptic

Or old and dyspeptic.

It’s because of the nonsense he spews.

  • "Trump told CNN" just reinforces the point I have frequently made that CNN thinks it can somehow exploit Trump to its own advantage. Last night at the fitness center, CNN was running banners such as 'TRUMP FOES BASH EACH OTHER IN DEBATE." In media outlets other than CNN and Fox, the story was that whatever event blowhard had did not cut into the debate numbers and it is questionable whether any money funneled through the Trump "foundation" will ever reach a wounded veteran.

The "Trump said [someone] apologized to him" is the same old schaite, too. He said the same about NBC and Telemundo. Your last sentence describes about 96% of what he spews.

  • In celebration of a very insightful piece over at 'Margaret Serious':

'Well I don't know why I came here tonight,
I got the feeling that something ain't right,
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair,
And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs,
Clowns to the left of me,
Jokers to the right, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you.

Yes I'm stuck in the middle with you,
And I'm wondering what it is I should do,
It's so hard to keep this smile from my face,
Losing control, yeah, I'm all over the place,
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.'

I feel better already, whoo hoo!!

    Thanks for the celebration, 4zen!

  • I appreciate your analysis, as usual. I heard an interesting reference to this story on CBS radio this morning: The various candidates and their events were described, but one was mentioned only as "the Republican front-runner." If he's just doing this to get his name mentioned, why encourage him?
