Meditation on the Fall

Now the  trees shed the  leaves that  forsake them

Just as God in His wisdom did make them.

But I wish in His plan

That He didn’t make man

As the one who’d eventually rake them.

  • His plan was that they compost naturally. Nobody rakes the forest preserves.
I also wonder if His plan was to unleash the emerald ash borer, which made all the leaves drop off the tops way before autumn.

  • He ,moves in mysterious ways?

  • In other words, raking leaves is a pain in the ash.

    But not for much longer.

  • Beautifully put. Would it help to think of it as organic exercise? (I thought of writing "green," but the leaves aren't anymore.)

  • Thanks, Margaret. Organic exercise? Nice turn of phrase. Even for gardening in general.

  • My last month paycheck was for 11000 dollars... All i did was simple online work from comfort at home for 3-4 hours/day that I got from this agency I discovered over the internet and they paid me for it 95 bucks every hour...
