  • I was trying to come up with something that rhymes with 9 million, but not worth the effort, given your line 3.

Also, considering what is now in the suitcase (unless he uses direct deposit), cashiered may have a different meaning , but looking up threnody, maybe not one as far as Thibs is concerned.

  • In reply to jack:

"Threnody" of course is ironic hyperbole. And I liked it because of the "th".

  • In reply to Aquinas wired:

As we say from dah region,* dat's right.

*I couldn't figure out what people from southern Indiana meant by that term, but it referred to a manner of articulation that both da Mares Daley had.

  • Used to be a huge fan of Thibs, but this firing was well deserved. Do to his lack of offensive insight he needed to grind his players into the ground to create wins. What I thought was discipline I now see as a stubborn pride. What good is it to perfect your locomotion if you don't know where your going?

  • In reply to 4zen:

Well said. Better than most sports writers.

  • BTW, what rhymes with Hoiberg? Internet sources only have variants of berg or burg.
