From the office of Rep. Robert Dold (Ill., 10th District)…
WAUKEGAN, IL – Last week, U.S. Congressman Robert J. Dold (IL-10) spent the morning at the Cardinal Health Midwest Distribution Center in Waukegan touring the facility and holding a town hall meeting with employees at McGaw Park. Dold visited the facility as part of his ongoing effort to listen to the job creators of the 10th District and take their ideas back to Washington.
“Cardinal Health is an innovative company in the 10th District,” said Dold. “Science and technology are key to our economic recovery. We must encourage growth in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields so that our students have the skills necessary to enter the 21st century workforce. I also want to applaud Cardinal Health for raising awareness about the dangers of prescription drug abuse.”
During the employee town hall, Dold spoke with several employees and listened to their concerns on the economy, jobs, education, and more. As part of Dold’s Main Street Jobs Agenda, he regularly holds employee town halls and brings concerns and ideas from these events back to Washington. At the event, Dold spoke about the importance of health care reform, repealing the Medical Device Tax, and his efforts to work with the local community and curb prescription drug abuse.
