Sandack Responds to Quinn’s State of the State Address

From the campaign to elect Ron Sandack (81st House District)…

SPRINGFIELD, IL – State Senator Ron Sandack, candidate for State Representative in the 81st District, issued the following statement in response to Governor Pat Quinn’s State of the State address today in Springfield:

“Governor Quinn today proudly proclaimed that ‘Illinois is moving forward,’ and while I wasn’t seated at the proper angle to confirm this I can only assume he had his fingers crossed behind his back. Of course, he said this just before launching into a speech full of platitudes about increasing spending on programs for which our flat-out-broke state does not have the funds, so it’s highly likely he is simply living in a fairytale land. Either way, empty rhetoric, additional spending, and expanded government will only further increase our back-breaking debt while doing nothing to assist job creators in turning around our economy. It’s time we stopped the talk and got down to business reviving Illinois.”
