10th District Troops in Afghanistan Receive Care Packages

From the office of Rep. Robert Dold (Ill., 10th District)…

WASHINGTON, DC –U.S. Congressman Robert J. Dold (IL-10) received an update from 10th District resident, Andrew Kochman, who is serving in Afghanistan and helped to distribute care packages donated by the community. Kochman reported that to date 30 care packages have been delivered and the troops who received them were extremely grateful for the generosity of the 10th District.

“I was happy to receive the update from our brave men and women serving in Afghanistan,” said Dold. “I want to thank Andrew Kochman for his service and for helping to organize this effort in Afghanistan, and I also want to thank each and every person who helped donate and send out these care packages. The outpouring of support from our local communities truly helped to brighten the day for several troops serving overseas.”

Throughout the month of December Rep. Dold’s Northbrook District office collected supplies from the community to send to troops serving in Afghanistan this holiday season. Over 38 boxes were packed up and sent to the troops in Afghanistan. The packages were sent to 10th district resident Andrew Kochman who is serving in Afghanistan and he helped distribute to local troops and those serving in the most remote parts of Afghanistan who do not have regular access to contact their families back home.
