Fed Up With The Price At The Pump?

This new video from the House Energy Action Team, a group of House Republicans dedicated to pushing the Administration to adopt commonsense energy policies, does a fine job to elucidate some of the problems we face in our energy sector.

More on the House Energy Action Team (HEAT): The Goal is to present a clear message of viable energy policy alternatives that are clearly communicated to the American public. H.E.A.T. will clearly demonstrate that House Republicans are on the side of the consuming public and business community who are increasingly harmed by the high energy prices.

In short: H.E.A.T. will convey that robust domestic energy production creates thousands of good jobs and enhances our national security.

Republican Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R, Calif.) and Chief Deputy Whip Peter Roskam (R, Ill) are co-chairs of H.E.A.T.

  • Are you serious? This H.E.A.T. initiative is doing nothing but telling Americans we need to increase our oil supply. Okay, I get that oil is still a big part of our daily lives, and pretty much necessary for us to live our lives at this point. But President Obama already has "commonsense" energy policies. Why? Because he knows oil is not a viable long-term solution, you baboon! He pushes for renewable energy to replace oil, instead of draining our oil supply to nothing. Here's an idea, how about thinking about ten, twenty, thirty years down the road. You think oil will still be around in thirty years? With the consumption we use now, plus rising population? You're truly a moron if you think the answer to our energy woes is to go and drill some more oil. We don't have a magical menorah, so the oil we still have won't last eight times longer than we think. Maybe restricting drilling now will help postpone the day we run out of oil because some guy with an "R" after his name gets into office, and decides to drill until there's nothing left for low short term prices, but sky rocketing them later. It's called conserving, and being a conservative I figured you'd understand the concept. Personally, I think you're just a moron and a waste of time, life, and space. Go die.
