Tonight’s Chicago north and northwest suburban edition of Public Affairs features Joe Morris, Chairman of the Heartland Institute and a Chicago elections hearing officer, whose prior rulings, as he sought to develop decisions that followed the law, Constitution and facts, had the effect of helping to keep both Rahm Emanuel and Lori Lightfoot on their respective Mayoral ballots.
Did Trump steal the Presidency in 2016, w/Russian collusion? Did Biden steal it back in 2020? Or, are both of those assertions big lies? Morris answers those questions and many more.

The show also airs tonight in 25 Chicago Metro north and northwestern suburbs at 8:30 pm on Comcast Ch 19 or 35 (See below for more details).
Morris is interviewed by show host Jeff Berkowitz on how to prevent voter fraud, as we try to preserve such American lodestar traditions as counting all legal votes, not counting illegal votes; one person, one vote; a secret ballot.
Joe, an assistant Attorney General under President Reagan, has expertise ranging from constitutional and election law to the rough and tumble of the political world.
The focus of this week’s show is on ballot integrity. Was there a sharp uptick in voter fraud due to the big surge in mail in ballots in 2020? If so, what can be done about it?
Are current state law modifications, as in Georgia and Florida, attempts to suppress minority votes? Or, do their revisions to use social security numbers and driver license numbers to track a voter’s ID simply follow what is already done in many Democratic Party run states, like New Jersey, to insure more honest elections?
Indeed, are the Democrats’ racial allegations about Florida’s new law “Cynical, phony and injurious” to democracy? Further, is ballot harvesting an attempt by both political parties to “look over” a voter’s shoulder and cast and count only those votes favorable to a particular political party?
If so, does it make sense to follow Florida’s new law, and similar new laws to try to deter practices such as ballot harvesting in order to make our elections more consistent with traditional American voting practices that have given voters confidence in our election outcomes, until recent years?
Joe Morris answers all of the above and other ancillary questions as the show host and he seek to identify reforms that will give Americans more confidence in the integrity and accuracy of their election process.
