Dispatches from Million Week -- Wednesday

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Today, we are only three days out from the Arlington International Festival of Racing.  As expected, today’s morning workouts saw an uptick in horses who have come for the Arlington Million, as well as other stakes races on the card.

International horses continue to clear quarantine gradually.  Furthermore, horses from east coast trainers Chad Brown, Bill Mott, Mark Casse, and Todd Pletcher also arrived on site yesterday.  Their horses arrived through the morning to stretch their legs over the course.

Saturday’s stakes action is coming together.  The Arlington Million (GI), Beverly D (GI), Secretariat (GI), and American St. Leger (GIII) have all been drawn.  Picks and Ponderings will preview those, as well as the Pucker Up (GIII) and the Bruce D. Memorial Stakes.  Those two races, as well as the rest of Saturday’s card, will be drawn and released later today.
