Wednesday Morning Works at Arlington

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS — The draws for the Arlington International Festival of Racing were revealed midday.  However, before that, it was time again for the runners to train.  All of the Wednesday morning action was confined to Arlington’s main polytrack and its polytrack.

Familiar faces returned from yesterday, with the likes of MAVERICK WAVE, BOOKRUNNER, LUCKY SPEED, SECRET GESTURE, and BELGIAN BILL trying out the main track after visiting the training track yesterday.  EURO CHARLINE also took a second tour of the grass course.

Picks & Ponderings also spied several American shippers slated to run in Festival races: STEPHANIE’S KITTEN and WATSDACHANCES from the Chad Brown barn, as well as TRIPLE THREAT and CLOSING BELL from Bill Mott.  Mark Casse’s RETURN TO GRACE, entered in Saturday’s Pucker Up Stakes, also paid a visit to the Arlington main.

None of today’s activity was timed and recorded on the public Equibase worktab, and Picks & Ponderings did not record times of workers.
