The high water mark of the Arlington – and Chicago – racing scene is Arlington Million Day. Fully titled as the Arlington International Festival of Racing presented by Liftmaster, the locally based manufacturer of garage door openers has their signage and patronage firmly placed on the festival.
Before the Festival, the contenders of Arlington Million Day were present in the morning. Check out the “Arlington Million” tab for photo galleries of morning workers.
Arlington Million Day features a first post of 12:30 pm CT and an eleven race card. There will be three guaranteed multi-race pools throughout the day: a $100,000 guarantee on the Pick 3 covering Races 8-10, a $150,000 guarantee on the Pick 4 spanning Races 7-10, and a $100,000 guarantee on the Pick 5 with Races 6-10. All seeded wagers cover the festival races and have previews from Picks & Ponderings.
Chicago-based WGN-TV will televise the Arlington Million Festival in a one-hour live telecast airing from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm CT. Such program can be also seen through WGN’s free stream.
