Ever watch the show extreme couponing?? These days you dont have to watch it. All you need to do is look around the grocery store or target. They are everywhere. You will see multitudes of people with their coupon organizers trying to get the best deals. Really how much prego and cereal can one family eat?
So whether you are trying to save money or cut down your spending, couponing is a good thing. In order to maximize your savings, you need to be organized.
For those of you that fall under the “crazy couponers” category, there are coupon binders especially made to hold hundreds of coupons. The rest of us can get by with a coupon organizer that is purchased at office max or a small accordion filing system.
I also recommend having one organizer for grocery coupons and another for misc items such as retail( love those ann taylor loft coupons) and dining. I also have a small plastic envelope in my glove compartment in which I have my bed bath and beyond coupons and misc coffee coupons.
Personally, I make a grocery list before I head to the store and pull out the coupons that I am going to use. I also take a quick look at the coupon databases(krazy coupon lady site has a great list), to see if there are any additional savings on my list. I whip down each isle and get the task done. There are probably other deals I am missing but I am happy with my weekly savings.
Happy Savings !
