I was drooling on the way to Links Taproom just thinking about all the suds I had to choose from. I knew it would be a daunting task trying to decide; however, I was up for the challenge. Links is conveniently located right near the Damen blue line stop in the middle of trendy Wicker Park.
I immediately felt welcome and the bartender was pleasant and efficient. Links serves 36 craft beers on tap, three cask beers, and large format bottled beer. The taps are available in two different sizes and all beer lovers will find something suitable to their taste. I started with a Chai Milk Stout Nitro by Left Hand Brewing, which was smooth, spicy, and tasty (my kind of chai). http://lefthandbrewing.com/beers/chai-milk-stout-nitro/
I decided to pair my next beer with some potatoes. Each order of fries comes with a dip and I chose the goat cheese garlic (nom nom). I opted for a Fun Size Milk Stout that is way better than any candy bar! This is my first beer from Pollyanna Brewing and I’m anxious to get my hands on more of their ales. https://pollyannabrewing.com/pages/fun-size
Fun fact: Links was featured on the Travel Channel’s Food Paradise because they are the Sausage Kings – http://www.linkstaproom.com/sausage-kings/. I’m elated to know they offer a vegan version, which I can’t wait to sink my teeth into.
I adore the logo on their glassware and hope to score one on my next visit (fingers crossed they sell them). I can hardly wait to return to Links Taproom because this is my kind of neighborhood bar.
