Top 5 Reasons Santa is a Democrat

Top 5 Reasons Santa is a Democrat

Obviously it would be bad form for Santa Claus to publicly support a political candidate, but is clear that he is a Democrat – and here’s why:

Unconditional Freedom of Religion

You don’t need to be a member of any particular religion to celebrate Santa’s Christmas. You CAN worship God on December 25th, but receiving gifts is not contingent on your faith. Are you Jewish? Cool! You are totally welcome to participate in Santa’s all-inclusive day – your choice. His one request: Just be good for goodness’ sake.

Even after all these years, his sleigh is pulled by old-school reindeer and good old fashioned wind currents. No need to drill for more oil to power Santa’s sleigh all the way across the globe!

Has Mad Respect for Immigrantssanta-20

Heck, Santa Claus IS an immigrant! He was born in 280 in Turkey around 280 AD, and only immigrated to America towards the end of the 18th century.  So when those elves showed up at the North Pole from wherever they came from, he welcomed them into his workshop and gave them gainful employment.

And in Santa’s Workshop, toy-building is an honorable profession. There’s no pressure at the North Pole to pull themselves up by their elf shoes and become Master Craftsmen, for Santa realizes that someone will always have to build the toys. (And if the other 1% wants to become, say, a dentist? Well that’s cool, too..)

Christmas is one giant “Entitlement Program”

Santa Claus GIVES toys away – and not only to American children. Santa loves children regardless of their nationality. December 25th is one giant global welfare program.

As honorable as he is, even Santa Claus is vulnerable to the sway of corporate sponsorship.

That’s my piece, and that’s my peace. Thank you for taking the time to read my silly words. It truly means the world to me. Carry on…
