TimeLine Theatre Company recently opened a production of the Joseph Stein (best known for FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and ZORBA) musical JUNO. The show premiered on Broadway in 1959, but this is the first time Chicago has had the opportunity to see this timeless musical. The musical vault has been opened and has resulted in stunning reviews.
- The Chicago Tribune’s Chris Jones calls it an “Exceptionally ambitious production.”
- Kris Vire from Time Out Chicago notes that “Musical theater aficionados won’t want to pass up the chance to see the show on its feet … It’s doubtful that Blitzstein’s score could sound better than in this intimate arrangement.”
- Hedy Weiss from the Chicago Sun-Times says “JUNO IS A TREASURE. DISCOVER IT.”
JUNO is now playing through July 27. For more information, click here.
