Knock Out Cancer Challenge

I am amazed by how much money the ALS foundation made from the ALS Ice Bucket Water  Challenge. I did the challenge, not because it was the thing to do but because I know people who have died from this horrific disease. The foundation was able to raise over $10,000,000 more this year than last in large part due of this challenge. This money will hopefully help in finding not only a treatment for ALS but a cure.

As many of you know, I am a 6 year kidney cancer survivor and I know that there is not one person reading this who has not been touched by cancer in some way. Please watch my YouTube video and, if possible, please help me raise money for cancer research by doing the “Knock Out Cancer Challenge”. For those that cannot do the challenge, any donation to the American Cancer Society is greatly appreciated. Who knows, maybe one day all types of cancer will be treatable and cured.

Here is the link to my YouTube video entitled “Knock Out Cancer Challenge” which will show you how this challenge works. Thank you.

I am a nurse practitioner who not only treats patients, but has had chronic illnesses including cancer so I understand how frustrating medicine can be. But through all this, I have never lost my sense of humor and my ability to make people laugh. I love to cook, and since becoming gluten-free a year ago, I have recipes for everyone's tastes whether it be healthy, decadent, vegetarian, or gluten-free. My philosophy is all about health, food, laughter and life!
