Chicago abstract artist Jimmy Williams opens up about the opportunity Burger King once gave him, regarding the use of space within the restaurant. Williams is currently a resident of Englewood. Prior to that, he is well renowned among the Cabrini-Green neighborhood where he was once a dweller. In addition to being an artist, there may be some who are not familiar with the fact that he is also a photographer and co-creator of the funk band The Electric Force, highly popular in the 80s.
I recently spoke with Williams, who has a strong desire to create beautiful settings in most neglected neighborhoods, particularly Englewood by displaying his various forms of art. Above is his experience with Burger King, his personal recollection.
