Last week, I wrote on social media that my new favorite show is God Friended Me. Many people responded that they too like it and then People Magazine chose it as a top pick. It is on Sunday, so check it out after reading my review of it.
Plot of the TV show God Friended Me: Miles is a self-described atheist who gets a friend request by an account called God. This account sends him friend suggestions of people in need of help each episode.
Favorite line of show: “I found that people are not looking for miracles, Miles. They’re looking for hope. And you only get that from people who have struggled and make the choice to keep going.” ~Arthur
Does the storyline hold my attention? Yes, although there are narratives that continue through each week, there is one main story that is contained in each one-hour episode.
Did I care about at least 1 character? The characters are very diverse and range from the main character, Miles and his best friend Rakesh. Then there is Miles’ female sidekick, Cara, his sister and his father to round out the cast with new characters introduced in each week.
Do I think about or talk about the show when it was over? Yes, I find myself thinking about the people and the story each week as well as ponder how I would respond if God sent me friend request suggestions for people who need help.
Will I watch this TV show each week? Yes, it is the show that I look forward to watching every Sunday night. It is on CBS around 7 or 7:30 depending on the Football game ending time.
