Today’s Blogapalooz Challenge was to write about the best thing in Chicago during the fall. There are so many things that I love about Chicago, plus there are as many things that I enjoy in the fall, but here are my three favorite.
Nature: Being outside in nature is spectacular, and the trees changing colors and the beautiful crisp fall weather is amazing. I love being out walking, hiking or just sitting by a lake. It is a slice of heaven.
Apple Cider: I am not picky; I love apple cider, cider donuts and cider beer. All of these seem to go the best with a beautiful fall day, but a cold cider beer tastes remarkable while sitting outside eating dinner.
Boots: Okay, maybe it has nothing to do with Chicago, but I love my boots. I have four favorite pairs plus a few others. I know that a lot of people equate fall with sweaters, but slipping on a pair of boots makes putting away my sandals almost bearable.
Sitting outside in a cute pair of boots while having almost anything cider is the best kind of fall day in Chicago. The only problem is that this season doesn’t last long enough here. Bring on fall, but please hold off on winter.
