I attended the funeral for the father of a friend of mine this weekend as well as found out that someone I knew years ago, his wife had died. I struggle with the challenges that I am facing yet when I hear about people dying, my troubles seem so small and unimportant. I know that life is messy and complicated and beautiful. I know I focus too much on the things that don’t really matter, and often forget about the love I have in my life. There is nothing good about death and illness, but it does make me appreciate and be grateful for my LIFE.
All through my day, no matter where I go, or what I do, I am always looking for the good. I try to find the good in people, in the world, in my life or even just in my day.
