If you missed the Grammy Awards or weren’t watching in the first 30 minutes of the show, you missed what I think will go down as the highlight of the show, no matter what else happens tonight (I’m writing this post 5 minutes after it happened).
County singer Hunter Hayes, who I had the pleasure of seeing perform live at the Grand Ole Opry this past April, debuted his new song, Invisible.
Invisible is a song dedicated to kids who are bullied or who feel different. The message is that you’re loved and you’re going to be okay. Oh, and you can understand all the words.
To say the least, it’s an incredibly powerful song. According to recent interviews, Hunter wrote the song because he was bullied as a kid and wanted his young fans to know he knows what they’re going through, but that it gets better.
