A Great Place For A Romantic Dinner
February is the month of Valentine’s Day, and thousands within the Chicagoland area will be looking for a perfect place to eat. A place where the ambiance can be the fuel to a romantic evening but, this night can go up in flames if you choose a restaurant where the food is, dare we say it; simply terrible. Well, to help to make the right decision on where to go for fine dining, we suggest that Jameson’s in Skokie, IL is one of the best places to go.
Yesterday evening we had the pleasure to dine at Jameson’s Charhouse next to the DoubleTree Hotel before we went to review a play at The Northlight Theatre. This popular top Chicago steakhouse restaurant features contemporary American cuisines such as steaks, chops, and fresh fish, for exceptional value.
As you enter Jameson’s upscale restaurant, filled with romantic candlelight and modern decor you are greeted by their friendly staff that is ready to please. Jameson’s Charhouse main draw is their steaks; however, the menu offers a wide variety of delicious appetizers, salads, soups, and entrees that you can enjoy.
To start our Jameson’s Charhouse experience, we had the Filet Sliders appetizer, topped with toasted parmesan cheese and caramelized onions. It was moist and delicious; however, the parmesan cheese seemed to have needed just a little more flavor.
Brenda sampled one of the soups of the day, a lightly flavored Clam chowder, served with some fresh bread and Romaine Caesar salad with parmesan cheese, croutons, and homemade dressing. Her entrée was the savory ½ Herb Roasted Chicken, with olive oil, lemon, oregano and rosemary with sides of zucchini, carrots, and squash. The chicken had a savory taste and was so moist it easily went from fork to mouth.
Rick had the homemade chicken noodle soup, and the broth was flavored just right with tender bits of chicken and the crisp house salad. His entrée was the Ribeye Steak cooked to his specification, served with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Known for their steaks and last night was no exception; the Ribeye was seasoned to perfection and delicious to the last tasty bite. This steak was so full of flavor that it would be a sin to destroy it by adding a steak sauce.
We both felt that all of the dishes were cooked with deliberate care to please because the flavor marinated throughout your mouth with each bite providing a consistent taste of satisfaction. Jameson’s Charhouse will make your experience very pleasurable by giving you outstanding service which is accompanied by delivering a high quality of fine dining.
Our phenomenal team for the night was the manager Erik, Dennis the head chef and our waiter Ahmed. They made our night at Jameson’s a night to remember.
If you are looking for an excellent dining experience with excellent service and great food, we highly recommend going to Jameson’s Charhouse Restaurant. Reserve your table so that you can experience the ultimate dinner at Jameson’s.
