Not to point out the obvious, but the world that we know today is much different than it was 20 years ago. This is just a fact that has held true all thru out history. Without change, life would have no purpose, no meaning. Without meaning in life we would just exist.
I can’t speak for everyone, but personally, I don’t want to just sit here and let life pass me by. I don’t just exist, my life is what defines me and it is an ever-changing path. A path that isn’t always straight, but it always seems to work its way out.
The path I have come to follow is a wooded one, surrounded by large lakes and rivers teaming with fish. The world of an outdoorsman is what has chose me and recently I had the opportunity to cross paths with aspecial individual that share the same passions in life. The passion of the outdoors fills her life and it has spread into her family.
This woman goes by the name of Keri Butt AKA antler addict. She has shown that the outdoors belongs to everyone and that more and more women are becoming involved with the outdoors. She is a self-proclaimed Huntaholic.
Keri is a prod mother of three. She has a seventeen-year-old daughter, an eleven-year-old daughter, and a six-year-old son. All of which have chosen a path into the outdoors. Keri wasn’t all about the outdoors though. Her husband was the outdoorsman in the family and would watch hunting videos for hours on end. Keri chose to shop at trendy stores, get manicures, and stay away from dirty places.
Yes, Keri was a girly girl. That was until she started to fall in love with the world of hunting. Her love of the outdoors grew like a seed inside of her and soon she was feeding that growing seed with all the knowledge she could gather. It wasn’t long and she was begging her husband to replay hunting videos and was soon shooting next to him at the bow range. According to Keri, “Hunting is more than just a hobby, it’s a way of life”.
Her passion for the sport is not a one sided affair for her. She has taken her experiences and knowledge and brought it to the public to help share the outdoors with other women. Thru her writing, speaking, and public appearances Keri is doing what she can to get more women involved in the outdoors.
According to Keri, “hunting defines who I am”. Because of this love of the outdoors that she shares with her husband and three children she feels that it has created a much closer-knit family unit.
Keri is an avid outdoor writer, blogger, and hunter. She has taken her skills to the next level and has started to educate other women on the world of hunting.
Keri wants to help others understand why she does what she does. She has started giving seminars and writing to help educate others about the facts of what hunting does towards the conservation effort. Thru her own experiences Keri provides insight into the hunting world and what other women can do to become involved.
Keri has made such a large impact on the outdoors world and you are sure to hear more and more about her in the years to come. With the support of her family and her strong moral fiber she is on top in her class when it comes to representing women in the outdoors.
