For Some Freedom Wasn't Free/ Remembering Those who Make our Life possible/ To Those Who served We Salute you.

I wrote this last night and thanks to the Tribune Editorial Board for publishing it to honor our Veterans on Veterans Day. I added a few more words but it’s theme is the same.

I have lived for over seven decades and I must say I cannot recall a prolong time that our Country was not at war. This happens to be the first time in my long life that this has another chance of happening. We can only pray that this time it could last forever, but history is not on our side for sure. Novenber 11th is Veterans Day,not really a time for celebration, but a time for reflection on those who served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice during those awful times. For hundreds and thousands of American patriots, freedom was not free. To those who never made it home,we can reflect on the families that never were, those who never lived to be called mommies and daddys and never got to live the freedoms they sacrificed so much for. Our nation may be divided but let us hope we can all take the time to reflect on those who gave so much for us. A grateful nation SALUTES you.
