I’ve been wanting to do the San Francisco/Oakland area for these maps for awhile now. I really loved how the coast turned out and it was fun thinking of the proper way to represent the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. I really wanted to put the sunken ship around Ocean Beach where the King Philip famously sunk in 1878, but there wasn’t enough room. There is a small printable version below and a link to a full size poster too.
UPDATE: Some slight changes have been added to the poster from the video. West Dublin/Pleasanton has been added, the sunken ship has been moved, Santa Clara University has been fixed, and a feather has been added to San Jose Airport. (Alameda is an island, but you can’t see the border due to the Amtrak line that runs along the coast.)
You can see all my maps here.
