Get a head start on the holidays! In this class, you will learn the basics of traditional basket weaving,
including continuous weaving, forming a handle of reed, rimming and lashing.
Dianne has been weaving since 1996 and loves to share her love of this traditional craft with others by teaching. She works with a variety of materials is especially interested in baskets with a north woods theme.

Lisa was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and moved to the northwoods 5 years ago. She currently lives in Sugar Camp with her husband and daughter. With 15 years of experience, Lisa has a strong interest in jewelry design and is now focused on creating her own flame-worked glass beads.
She has taught jewelry classes both in Illinois and here in the northwoods,
including; Michael’s Arts & Crafts, the Rhinelander School District community education program and at the Northern Lights Bead Boutique in Three Lakes. Her greatest reward is seeing her students create a one-of-a-kind piece they are proud of.
November 14 PAINTED PILEATED WOODPECKER

Artist Sue Brucks-Schurch will teach students the basics of acrylic painting. Each student will receive an 11 x 14 wood plaque (w/hanger) that has a wood-burned image ready for paint. Sue will demonstrate paint application, brush strokes, color mixing and simple shading to complete a painting. According to Sue, “Even though each person has the same image to work from as a guide, all the paintings turn out so very different.
Students are choosing colors they like and using strong or soft brush strokes to give it personality, each plaque will be unique to the person painting it.”
November 18 Gingerbread Christmas Cabin –

Join artist Wendy Powalisz & Chef Lynn Richie for this gingerbread challenge! Be your own architect and designer of a Christmas – Winter themed Northwoods Cabin! You will be provided with all the goods to make your own decorated cabin. Cabins will be left on display through Dec. 2, when the public will vote for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, during the Holiday Open House.
