Castin & Blastin - Southern Illinois Style

Once again we set our sights on Southern Illinois for one of our spring destinations. Fishing reports from Ponds and Shelbyville

Husker with a nice Pond Bass.
Husker wrote to me with a report from the south suburban ponds.  Here’s what he said… Hey Don, I hit a local pond today that I was not able to fish during the hard water season. Using a lipless crankbait, I worked new emerging weeds and ripped the bait through them. When the bait would... Read more »

My daughter Lisa has owned serveral German Shorthaired Pointers.  Yesterday, she picked a new one.  Now we’ll have two under our roof. This one seems to be quite happy that he was picked. Big plans are in the works for this pup.  He’ll enjoy a life of hunting and competing.
